Town of Windsor Councilmember Mark Millan receives award from American Council of Engineering Companies for Elected Official Champion of the Year

Windsor, CA – Town of Windsor Councilmember, Mark Millan, has been selected for “Infrastructure Elected Official Champion of the Year” by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)-CA North Coast Chapter.  The award honors an elected official who has made significant contributions toward development of critical community infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Champion Awards are given to public officials who have demonstrated unparalleled skill in managing the complex issues of engineering, design and construction as well as politics, funding, and the interest of the public to move their projects to completion. It is their vision, perseverance, effectiveness and creativity that facilitate the achievement of major projects and programs in Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino Counties.

On behalf of the Town of Windsor Mark serves on the following Boards and Commissions:

Water Advisory Committee (WAC) – Chair
Russian River Watershed Association (RRWA) – Chair
Member of the Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Santa Rosa Plain)
Liaison to Windsor Fire Protection District
The Award presented at the Chapter’s Annual Achievements Awards reception held at the DeTurk Round Barn on Thursday, October 18, 2017. Keynote speaker was State Senator Mike McGuire.

Award recipients will also get a certificate of congressional recognition from the office of Congressman Mike Thompson as well as a certificate of state senatorial recognition from the office of Senator Mike McGuire .
